Inspirations: Healthy Living

We are a quest to be healthy here at Threadcase! While I have to admit this has been the goal since the new year, we haven't been as dedicated as we should or want to be. We always have good intentions don't we? But so many times life gets in the way of those good intentions. Well, we've booked a vacation where swimsuits will be involved, so somehow our quest has been revitalized. Go figure huh. I've been doing a lot of research, reading a lot of books and blogs about nutrition and fitness. I thought I'd share with you some of the most interesting or helpful.

Fit Bottom Girls - this blog has a lot of good info on nutrition, workouts, food, etc
BodyRock - This site ROCKS, no pun intended. I want to look like that, and I get energized every time I watch a workout video. I am personally starting the 30 Day Challenge tomorrow. Wish me luck, and many sore days!

The Edible Perspective - So many good recipes for healthy living
Kath Eats - Registered Dietitian with some awesome recipes
Simply Gluten-Free - all gluten free recipes
Greatist - has great articles on overall healthy living, I love the eating healthy on a budget challenge.


Well, this is just a start. I hope to actually have some will power and determination to see this health challenge through, I know my body and mind will thank me. Clothes4Souls: Buy 1, Clothe 7.

Hello loves! Hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday. Here in Mobile, we have a tornado warning and lots of rain :( Hopefully it will be clearing up soon because we are headed to New Orleans for The Kills concert at the House of Blues. Can't wait!! Anywhos, I recently found this organization that's really trying to make a difference. They are called Clothes4Souls. I know, I know you are thinking why is a clothing site promoting another clothing site. Why? Because we believe in good things, and this is a good thing.

Go to Sevenly to purchase your shirt and give clothing to those in need. 

You can also visit their sister organization. Soles4Souls. In this organization they provide shoes to those in need, you can also volunteer to go on one of their trips to the deliver shoes. I think that would be an amazing thing! I hope that one day Threadcase can partner with them. I hope that you check them out and consider buying a shirt to clothe 7 children in Bolivia.

Music Monday - The Two Piece

Hello all! Hope you aren't too bummed out that the weekend is over and now it's back to the grind. I know mine went by a little too fast but fortunately I'm really looking forward to Thursday this week instead of Friday because I definitely have tickets to see The Kills at the House of Blues in New Orleans! I.AM.SO.EXCITED. Seriously, I haven't been this hyped for a concert in awhile.


Yes, I'm aware that I've featured The Kills on here before and no I'm not going to be lazy and do a repeat post, even though the totally deserve it. Actually, in my obsessing over them for the last few weeks, I was noticing how many of my current favorite bands are two pieces. How awesome is it that some of the best music can come in such a small package?! So here's my little list of some amazing two piece bands.
