Music Monday: Bayfest 2011

Hello gang! How was your weekend? Good I hope! Mine was great! Got to see some awesome music right in my hometown. We have Alabama's largest music festivals, Bayfest, right here in the streets of downtown Mobile. Music fills the streets and fair food fills the air. Hot dogs, corndogs, funnel cakes, etc. Can it get any better?

It's been going on for years and each year they seem to get better acts. It's only $45 for the whole weekend, pretty cheap huh. This year the lineup was pretty good, being that we are in the South they are quit a few country artists. But the best of all, and my favorite band of all time, KORN, was among the acts this year.

Unfortunately we only got to go the one night, but it was well worth it. First we saw B.o.B, he was really good, got the crowd into it and everyone was having a great time. Our next stop off was the food stand where we heard Blake Shelton, coming from someone that doesn't really like country music, this guy rocked it. He was awesome. He sang It's My Prerogative, by Bobby Brown and a few other surprising choices that had me dancing in the street :)

After enjoying some corndogs and snowcones, it was time for KORN. They were amazing as always. Most rock bands you hear live always seem to disappoint, but this band never does. I've seen them 5 times and never seen the same show twice. They mix it up and keep the crowd into it! And the best part, they actually sound exactly the same as on the album, no tricks done on their album to make them sound different, what you hear is what you get!

Do ya'll have any cool music fests you've been too? Or any in your hometown you suggest a visit too? You know we love music, we always love traveling, so let us know!

If you ever want a cheap get music getaway come on down Bayfest, visit the beach and hear some awesome music!
